    Default LTA: Long Tenticle Anenome.

Okay so we got this nice LTA from Alamo Aquatics today, Went in to see their corals that are 19.99 each and came out with a pair of Black & White oscularis (sp) and this nice LTA.. and some other neccessities. .

I know that if you put them somewhere and they dont like it they will move.

My question is are they okay to be on the sand? Or should I put em on the live rock? The Oscularis' already found it, they love it..

He is currently on th sand bed we have a 4.5 inch sand bed in a 55 gal tank with plenty of live rock. Is he okay? I wll get pics up just as soon as I can..

    Thanks for your help!

Yes, all lta's love their foot to be in the sand. I have seen my purple lta go completely into the sand once. All you could see was one or two tentacles sticking out of the sand. My pink skunk clown looked very unhappy about that. This happened when I was messing with my lights a while back. I guess the lta thought a storm was coming and hid in the sand. It came right back out after I turned the lights back on.
Congratulations on your new lta and clowns.

    Default LTA's

Both my LTA's love the sand bottom. They actually push their foot thru the sand and attach to the bottom glass of the tank. They seem to like to get up against a piece of rock and stay there in the sand.

I'll add to it. I had a large one a year ago that attached to the glass on the bottom of the tank in a 4 inch deep sand bed.
