It was the initial spike of high temp after being so stable for two years. If your corals are used to a small swing and Higher temps then you won't see a problem.
Now to the latest issue, while dealing with the heat issue I didn't know that my alk was spiking at 12.5 dkh and at the same time all teh co2 out of my 40# bottle was leaking into the fish room.. High alk+high heat+lots of co2 released into air = nuked corals,,, most tips are fried. some corals are gonners. large birdsnest started to STN. it is now a small birdsnest.. lots of work later and now just waiting to see if i fixed it soon enough

    Mike,
Thinking over your dilemma, what do you think about painting the cover white?

Ok, the heat issue has long been settled thanks to Hal at Tradewinds. the bad news is many corals still slowly going down hill, my nice green table is looking bad, along with my large green slimmer, blue tip tenuis, my thin green stag and 3 others.. I think it is just the combination of lighting changes, alk issues, heat issues, and the tank move. hopefully things will settle before too long.

Good luck with the rest of your corals. Glad to hear that there is hope!

Mike - I've been having some problems with my tank lately and lost many of the coral frags I had. Because of that I'm moving away from keeping corals with this setup for now. I have two frags left from the bunch that I got from you awhile back so I would be more than happy to return them to you if your tank has stabilized. I can't remember exactly which ones they are, but they might be ones that you mentioned.
