Passed my motorcycle safety course today

Kinda unimpressed with the course as a whole (expectations way too high I guess) but running all the practice drills on their bikes was extremely good practice and probably worth the whole fee. Anyhow I'm now certified safe to operate a motorcycle in a private parking lot sectioned off with no traffic. lol...

Congrats Joshua, Just don't drive around hwy 90E between 8-9am cause that's when my wife heads downtown and she doesn't check her side mirrors. Don't say I didn't warn you

hahaha! I will totally stay away from 90, thanks! Something tells me though she wouldn't be nearly as bad as the 100's of people I will encounter going 1604 to I10 every morning... not looking forward to that.

Jim, I aint legel yet, getting my M stamp this afternoon and then I'm on my way. Been taking the bike for spins and feel like a criminal. Ha!

When I took the MSF course, out of 8 taking it I would have only passed 3 of us!! It was scary. One of the worst riders was a guy going to be a motorcycle cop in Pflugerville. The Insurance discount alone is worth it and if you have ever had to help someone with the riding part of the Motorcycle license test at DPS you know avoiding that is totally worth it.

Be safe!! I am amazed at how many people are afraid to ride a motorcycle or scooter and buy one anyway. If you are scared at all, DON'T ride a bike!!!

Joshua, did you post recently about what you got? I ride a Honda VTX 1300 R. We should do a MAAST ride to Leakey or such sometime.

Yeah there were a few people that I didn't think were going to pass but they did. I think the dude was ignoring the minimum speed requirements on the test because I had to fly through a few things to make the speed and watched others just put put through... On the insurance, Progressive said I have so many discounts already that I'm already bottomed out so it won't lower my insurance. LOL...
