I don't hate them I actually enjoy watching Kobe and the others play when they're playing well (not against us though), but I hate their fans. I hate that idiotic shot after the game was already over and I hate the way they boo'd the Spurs when that dude was announcing and said something about giving the Spurs some credit.

Man Boston has had a LONG tough road to get to the finals, they're gonna have a tough time beating LA but I think they got a better shot than Detroit.

As much as I HATE to admit it...the better team won this series. I think Phil Jackson deserves alot of credit as does KOBE. What I did not expect is the bench of the Lakers to play so well. This series is going to hurt for a long time for me.

Overall the refs made a ton of bad calls...but on both sides. I don't even know what the NBA defines as a foul these days...maybe they don't either.

I am very curious as why there was not an extra day off for travel when this series shifted cities....I do not remember that happening in the past. Anyone else?

Congrats to the Lakers and fans and THANK YOU Spurs for another great season...man we are spoiled aren't we?

We will be there contending again next year....oh and POP is not going anywhere anytime soon, he just signed an extention through the 2011, 2012 season. We should at least get another ring during that time.

Oh and I will be rooting for the Celtics...the team that I think has the best shot at beating the Lakers.

I agree, I think the better team won this series. Spurs just failed to play with any kind of consistancy this series (actually started against N.O.). And yeah, I was impressed with the Laker bench.

I cannot remember any playoff series that played like this one, with a game every other night. There has always been an extra day thrown in usually when the teams travel. I don't understand why they gave 2 to 4 days between games in the first and second rounds of the playoffs and then only 1 day between games in the 3rd round. It is really strange.

And Don...Pop's contract to 2012 coincides with Duncan's contract now. I believe they'll retire at the same time. And yes, we are spoiled. I love the Spurs...class act team and organization. And what I hate about Kobe...his arrogance...he can't be just humble. Would have loved to see him cry again...and yes, you do credit them for what they do off court. That's what young kids look to...he may be good on court (and he is) but not off. I hope Celtics take it. I see Horry, Finley, Thomas for sure exiting...not sure on Oberto and others as far as contracts. RC Buford said don't think they haven't been planning on rebuilding with youth. We'll be back...we're just spoiled...

    Agreed, very weird.

Does anyone remember the Spurs ever missing so many wide open shots? I never bought in to the "Spurs are old" mumbo jumbo but man they missed so many open shots in games 1, 4, and 5 it's not even funny. Me thinks the Spurs of old would have won this series in 5. Maybe it's time for a little fresh blood.

Jac Vaughn, Oberto, and Barry all have another year under contract IIRC. thomas Horry and Fin are free agents, and we also have some cash stashed away.... The real question is, who are we going to get???
