    Default Deltec Calcium Reactor

    http://www.deltecusa.us/calciumreactors/index.php

Anyone seen one in action or got their hands on one of these bad boys yet? Pretty ingenious! Marinedepot has a link but it just re-directs you to their main page. No info or pricing yet, but it's a Deltec, so I can only imagine the price. I guess I'll just keep day dreaming!

Any suggestions on a vendor? Are Deltec's claims of "dKH levels in excess of 80" correct. My current reactor doesn't keep my carbonate levels in the proper range, so I was looking at this reactor as an Upgrayedd (for all you Idiocracy fans out there). Maybe I should try a mixed media like yours. I'm currently just using 100% Koralith media.

Wow! That's one super-charged reactor. How many meq/L does your system go through in a week?

Is that a Deltec 851 or 902 Skimmer in the background? I've got a cruddy small monitor and can's see if you've got 1 or 2 recirc. pumps on it.

My tank is pretty alk Dependant I don't know the exact meq/L that i go through in a week but last week my tank was at 11dkh at 10pm and I ran out of CO2 at almost right as I was testing the alk. Less than 8 hrs later my tanks alk was at 4.5dkh lol

The skimmer is a deltec 902 with which has two recirc pumps on it.

Holy crabcakes Batman, I just saw your website and that's one awesome in the wall set up. Loved your tank build photos. I used an old utility room for my in the wall 90g, but it's on a much smaller scale and budget than yours. I've only got some white framing around my tank opening, and my mech. room isn't nearly as well thought out as yours. Love your cabinetry work. Simply awesome! Can't think of anything else to describe your set-up.

PS - Do you know what size or how many CFM your exhaust fan is in your mech room? I tried the same idea in mine, but the room was still super-hot and didn't help much.
