    this was a great debate, but i am still lost. i just hope when i get some cash together one of my fellow maasterds we help me on my quest for a home computer.

    I'm sure there are a few of us that can steer you in the right direction. It's 100X easier to build computers in today’s age. Just about anyone can do it. I still remember setting jumpers to adjust voltages and clock multipliers ; boy did that used to be really stressful because one wrong setting and it's TOAST. Luckily I've never (really, really) Toasted a single one. Let us know what you're thinking of getting. But by all means do some research before you buy and you'll be much happier with the machine you build. Just remember to ask; we're here for ya.

    I, too, enjoyed it and I, too, have no idea (nor do I want to) about most of what you two guys were talking about.

    David, it is a good quality to be competitive. Me too. In fact, some of the most successful people I know are highly competitive people.
