Maast Membership Perk Question

So what do you get out of being a charter member? Will there be a raffle at the april meeting? how much is the discount in the san antonio pet stores? I dont mind paying dues cause this is a cool site to use and get information from but what are the extra perks.

Every sponsor/store has their own Percentage off so you have to check with them, but it is usually 10-15%. And their is usually a raffle at the meetings some you pay to buy raffle tickets others are free to enter. As you already know this Club and site have a lot to offer so it just a great bonus to be a charter member.

At meetings anyone can participate in raffles (cost $) but Charter Members at meetings are entered for door prizes (free) automatically.

It also allows you to post in the charter membership forum, photography forum, and the Charter FS/trade forum.

Charters can vote in BOD and special elections.

Discounts with certain LFS's and on-line sponsors.

Free/discounted rates to MAAST events. For example, the SA Zoo Event last year http://www.maast.org/forums/showthread.php?t=36989.

You can enter and be nominated for TOTM then for TOTY which, as Jim pointed out, won $1000 worth of prizes and gift certificates.

i was wondering the same thing about the store thing. Does anyone know the precise discount that San Antonio LFSs offer to Maast charter members? and which ones?


This store discount IMO opinion would be the BIGGEST draw for any web member to join, because even if its 5%, thats a LOT of money if you think about how much you spend at any fish store over a year, WAYY more than 25 in savings... atleast for me, haha

haha for the past few months i keep saying ill give my dues to Sherri at the meetings and then something comes up and i cant go :( but im trying hard to make it sunday for Ace's!!!!
sat is a big frat party tho.. lets hope i make it :P
