Need mechanic/shop I can trust

a friend of mine had something like that happen to him 2 days ago...it was the ball joints (or something like that) anyway, as he was leaving the building for lunch his front right tire collapsed and the tow truck took it away. no one died but he wasn't on the highway or a busy road. hope your decision helps you prevent that from happening to you. good luck

See, that's what I'm afraid of happening. I do a lot of highway driving so it would not be good to happen while I"m driving. Unfortunately I'm fixing to drive to the coast for a few days.

Certified Auto Repair at San Pedro and Nova Mae (108 Nova Mae) is a great shop. 342-2222 ask for Tony, he's the owner. Let him know that Big Kev sent you his way, he'll set you up.

So today I was stuck between a rock and a hard place. With appts all day long (that I have to drive to) and rain, and my truck heater coil going out it wasn't exactly a recipe for success. I remembered this thread and decided to see if there was any good repair shops in it, and as luck would have it I found Certified Auto Repair shop (CARS) and not only was their bid to replace my coil $200-$300 lower than any other place, but they even went a step further to tell me that I could just by pass the stupid thing and it would take minutes and not a full day of labor (you have to take apart the whole dash to replace the coil) So now instead of being out nearly a grand and losing a day of work, Im out $55 and half a day. Thats awesome. This place is run by good people.

Oh, and if you go there and drop Kev's name; they know him as Heavey Kevy
