Water Storage for RO/DI

I finally broke down and purchased an RO/DI unit. It should be here on Thursday. With the snail paced speed the water will be coming out, I was thinking of getting a water storage thing for extra water. Any recommendations?

I came across this thing that looked pretty good - not sure if the fittings etc. are compatible with RO/DI. It is filled from the top and has outlets part way down and also at the bottom. Holds 48 gallons, 63" tall and is flat on the back side.

You might also look at RV water tanks (do a search on fleabay).

I just use a 55 gallon plastic barrel for storage. But that looks pretty cool and would take up less space.

Yeah, my problem is the amount of space in the laundry room - the cat's supplies are in there so floor space is limited. I plan on using the connections for the washing machine.

Are there any precautions with spigots and de-ionized water?

I would do PVC and/or polyurethane fittings for plumbing it, because you wont want typical garden hose attachments feeding your tank... Maybe look into the 55 gal drums that Austin Homebrew and the Dr. pepper place sell for like $10 and $5 respectively...

Where is the Dr Pepper place or Austin Homebrew? I wouldn't mind picking up a couple 55gallon drums myself...especially at that price.

can anyone bring one of those drums to the swap? I can pay them on site, I just won't have time to be stopping all over the place on my drive to and from college station.

I ended up picking one of these up - free shipping. It will hold 19 actual gallons. Should still be plenty for what I would want to do with water changes. I should not have to worry about overflowing containers.
