    Default sump/ fuge Ideas

I want to switch my wet/dry to a proper sump/fuge set-up. I was hoping you all could give me some guidance.
    Goals:
To maximize the usable space in the cabinet.
Taller than what it is now,12", to minimize the splash from the protein skimmer return.
Room on the side for a separate water container for top-offs. Right now I use 5 gallon jugs that last about 4 days.
    A section for some cheato.
A section for a filter sock.

Two problems that I can see are fitting the new sump in. It might have to be two separate parts that can be joined in the middle. The door openings are 19" wide by 31" tall. Unless someone has a better idea.
How do I drain the tanks into a filter sock? Do I switch to hard pvc returns?

Contact Ace and have him come over, and measure and then build you a sump.
