Rubbermaid Frag Sump

Bought some cheato today, was about to throw it in the sump, when I started thinking.....
do I need to treat the cheato for any type of parasites before I add it to the sump? I'm so paranoid about getting any type of parasite, I dip everything.

I have some coral revive and lugols, would this be fine to dip or will it kill the cheato?

It will kill off what comes in the chaeto (pods etc) , but I usually dip my chaeto in lugols and flatworm exit and rinse in clean saltwater.

thanks, I think I will dip in both the lugols and coral revive. Then rinse it good in saltwater.
