    Default Bubble Magus???

Was surfing EBAY and saw this...

Looks just like a BK Mini knock-off. I wonder what kind of pump they use. Also...I don't think it's the same voltage as here. The description is obviously written by someone whose first language is not English...after suffering through it though, I can't help but think that $150 seems pretty reasonable.

Cant say for myself, but I did have a customer that tried out one of these, and was severely disappointed with it. After replacing the pump once, she went back to her Coralife SuperSkimmer for a while, then bought a EuroReef...

Yeah...it always boils down to getting what you pay for. I actually just bought a BK Mini knock-off from a guy up in Plano from DFWMAS. It's this one...

I'm pretty excited to get it in the sump...my tank needs it BADLY.

looks like a fairly decent skimmer... I'm a EuroReef believer though!

I like how the Magus link the owners hint at all the best brands but refuse to fully type the names out. That should be a hint that they are not so confident that their skimmer will put out the goods.

I really like that unit from Dallas. For a guy and a garage it looks to be very high quality.

Brewer it looks like a Sedra to me.

Yeah...I thought it was wierd that he replaced some of the letters in other brands' names with "X".

Mike, You're right...it's a Sedra 5000. I know its no Red Dragon like in the BK's, but they cost like 800 bones.

I can't wait to get my hands on it. It will be here on Tuesday. He said it was made with 1/4" cell cast acrylic...so I'm thinking the build quality will be pretty good. I plan on doing the mesh mod to the skimmer...but will wait a couple of weeks so I can monitor changes in performance.
