    Default Fission Nano Skimmer

    Hi there everyone,

I am a newbie.. I just found out about this great community a few days ago, and it has already helped me so much!
I have already spent waaay too much time reading the posts and I can't even imagine the countless hours I will be spending on here in the future!

I just ordered a new 12g Nano Cube and am looking into getting everything I need to set it up for success as a mini-reef.
I found this Fission nano skimmer and was wondering if anyone had any good or bad experiences with it: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/produc...uctnum=0025723

Also, any suggestions anyone might have for setting my tank up or any modifications it may need please feel free to include those as well!

    Thanks for your help!

Ya know, to be honest, you really dont need a skimmer on such a small tank, regular weekly water changes would actually be better. And, if the tank comes with any type of machanical filtration that uses floss, Id ditch the floss and replace it with live rock rubble. Oh yeah, welcome to maast!

I agree also, I ran my biocube 29 for over a year with out a skimmer. Just keep up with regular water changes and you should have no problems

i hear there is a good skimmer but i know that one is the worst i think the best one for small tanks is the sapphire skimmer its about $150 though. In my opinion you dont need one
Going to change my screenname to ReefCube soon!
