this could probably be used as moonlights on a tank - you would just need a 12v power supply (they sell em at radioshack and walmart i think)

how many led's are on the strip, and how much can i buy a power supply for?

This comes with just one led light on each strip. The 12v power supply usually runs from 20 dollars on up. Sometimes less depending on where you go. The truck stops usually have real good deals on these.
