Paintball CO2 Cylinders? Nano & Small Tanks
I am looking at getting a calcium reactor for my upcoming 58 gallon SPS tank. I have seen where RedSea has a kit for planted tanks using paintball cylinders. Would this be a good option for a smaller reef tank or nano as well? Would I be better off with a 5lb standard CO2 cylinder. Space under the 3' long tank is getting pretty tight.

I've heard you'd be refilling them all the time.

Depends on how heavy you would be dosing the CO2. Yeah, you might have to refill it more often, but if it saves you space and is easier to deal with then I say go for it. I believe they come in different sizes as well. Personally, I'd rather have a small CO2 tank inside the stand than a larger tank that has to sit outside the stand where someone could knock it over or a kid/pet could get to it.
