I don't believe the pc will do it but the wh5 and 7 work great. You need one? I'm fixing to have a garage sale.

Yes, and Yes. I have retro'd a 2x55W PC strip light (48") with two 54W T5HO and it has worked fine for well over a year. As long as the wattage is close the Workhorse ballast should work fine also.
Custom Acrylic 180g RR, acrylic sump, 45BR frag tank, 18g fuge, 250+/- lbs LR, Euro Reef CS8-2, 10x39W T5, softies, LPS, and a few SPS.

The 7 works great! I had them on my old tanks.
