New Tank Help
I'm setting up a new tank because I went too small and loud on my downgrade project.
New tank is a 60 gallon 36 1/2" by 18 1/2 " 20 1/2 Reef Ready
It'll run (2) 250 watt 12K Reeflux powered by a dual PFO ballast.
So far that is all I'm sure on.
I have tons of pc ballasts and bulbs so I was going to supplement with them unless going t-5 or VHO is realy going to make it worth the while and expense.
Here are my questions:
What is the best quiestest lowest watt return pump?
What is the best quiestest lowest watt pump for my skimmer (aqua c remora pro currently running a MAG 7)?
Can I stick with my PC's or should I move to VHO or T-5
The tank has (2) 1-1/2 holes drilled in the bottome of the over flow.
Should I use both for drains and return over the top or one for each keeping in mind I what to T with my SQID.

RE: New Tank Help
For in sump pumps it is nearly impossible to beat an Eheim. No maintenance what so ever in 2 1/2 years and never a problem. Kyle you know that every tank in my home is outfitted with Eheim so you've already heard me speech on and on about the half wattage/same GPH/less wattage-less heat transfer, plus you've already not heard them running.

Im almost ready to power up my 55g tank. It wont be a reef tank though. The whole reason I bought this tank was to have Lionfish
They are one of the best looking fish IMO. Im going with a Predatory tank for a 55g. Later down the road I will do a Larger 280g for a Shark and a Couple Rays. Ive always found it fascinating watching those. I bought a whole setup with minor things missing and a stand that needed to be fixed up, with a canopy that was falling apart so I just built all my own stuff. I will have pictures of all of it before water in the next few days.
