skimmer help

i have a super skimmer,and the return part has some kinda box to put filter pads.well the skimmer is sitting inside my sump with the little box hanging on the side,but the box is to high because when the water comes out of it,the water creates bubbles. which then go into my pump, which then makes bubbles in the main tank.
ive tryed to put an ell and pipe to bring it down closer to the bottom,but it still does the samething
i also tryed to put some pad at the bottom but then the water rushes to the collection cup.

so im out of ideas anyone got any others

i have that same skimmer. mine is used as an HOB though. that foam pad in the collection cup is absolutely useless. since i took it out and replaced it with a small amount of filter floss i have zero micro bubbles. since yours is in the sump you might try getting rid of that box altogether.

there were many growing pains with that skimmer and it took about 5-6 months for me to get everything figured out and set the way i wanted it, but its a great skimmer for the money.

i have a css125 and i just had to run to lowes get some spa tubing and run it lower down to the water level
