    Default SPI mantis

    Took a trip to South Padre Island. The local fishermen call these guys "sea lice". They come up in their nets frequently.

    Thought I would share some pics...looks like Lysiosquillina glabriuscula to me.

    i also saw these down in fulton beach, in rockport, they were the exact same speices and they look cool but kinda big, caught a really nice blackdrum with one!!!!

    they also call them ghost shrimp. they have a special tube apparatus to suck them up from the sand, and use them for bait.

    Are those smashers? or spears? They look kinda cool.. Not as cool as Don's though..

    2000g pond with 8 koi and 1 fat goldfish(and I do mean FAT) lol

    the way his front feet are curled I would say smasher...

    I just got me a baby one from fin addict... he is doing great.... cool looking mantis...
