Man, game three was UGLY and game four looked like it was going to head that direction for awhile. I'm glad the Spurs got it done and won the championship. Overall, I was sad that the Cavs didn't put up more of a fight. I think their coach did a great job getting them to the finals, but he didn't give them that fire to keep playing. Several times during the last two games I watched them just give up. The could have easily won game 3 and if they hadn't stopped playing a few times at the end of game 4, they could have won that one too. I there was no doubt that the Spurs were going to win the series, even the Cleveland Cavs and their fans knew it, but they gave up way too early.

As a Spurs fan I'm excited, but as a fan of basketball, this series was really lame.

I think the pressure got to the young Cavs; they were consistently missing shots until the 4th quarter in each game, at which point (in the 1st 2 games) it didn't really matter so some of the pressure was off. They just seemed nervous and tight; their first NBA finals, etc. I agree with Chris it was a pretty boring finals, nothing like the nail-biter in 05; funny how people were calling that one boring too.

They need to stop with the divisonal garbage and pit the two REAL best teams against each other in the finals. After the bulls era, the production from the East has been lackluster at best.

Yeah, like one announcer said, you could take the top 5 teams in the west and they could all beat the best team in the east. It does vary though through the years. For the longest time, the east was the best conference. You had Detroit, Boston, and Chicago rule the roost for a long time. Now things have shifted to the West. Once some of the top guys in the west retire, the east will probably take over.

Well, Miami beat Dallas last year, and the Pistons beat the lakers a few years ago. I kind of agree, though, after the phoenix series it was all somewhat of a letdown. Imagine if the Spurs had to face Dallas after the suns, then the finals.
