    Default Darby's.

Just wanted to give this little shop just outside SA it's due props. I've never seen the shop mentioned on MAAST yet they are sponsors. Most of the SA crew I speak with have never heard of the place. It takes a lot to impress me as a buyer and I'm very vocal about that. This tiny little shop is one of the cleanest places I've ever been. I am never disappointed when I visit. I always stop when driving down to SA. Again today the shop was full to the brim with the healthiest coral and fish you've ever seen. The tanks are extremely well lit, great flow, and only the brightest corals and alert fish. The shop is tiny, the amount of salt water tanks is very limited however it is top notch. Giant Yuma rics about 4" across were some of my favorites today. I'm headed back for a few fish next week when I have more time and money. The staff is extremely friendly, I promise they recognize you and respect that you stopped at their kind of out of the way shop. The prices are right on as well. BTW, I've never seen any coral that was only so/so or dieing off. Maybe they have some holding tanks elsewhere for that kind of stuff but what is out on the floor is ready for your tanks. I've actually been shopping there for about 4 years and I've bought quite a bit from there.

I agree with Mike. Darby's has been around for a long time. They always seem eager to help and will order most things they on't have in stock. I never knew they were sponsors though. I asked one of the helpers once and he said he didn't think they were so I didn't get a discount. He may have been new or maybe because not many maastards shop there didn't know about the discount. Anyways their prices seem fair enough that I didn't mind not getting the discount.

I have always liked Darby's.. I have never got to them for saltwater, but when I had a planted tank, I used to go in for some high quality freshies!

My only complaint is the size of the store! I wish they had more selection!
