hey Ace!
don't know if you caught my thread on my 30 gallon hex project.
I really want to do most of the work myself, but I do not have a saw equipped to make long 45 degree angle cuts.
I was wondering 2 things.
After I get the ideas for the stand and canopy sketched out and dimensioned, will you go over them w/ me?
-and-
will you either make the cuts on the more difficult pieces for me, or assist me in doing them on your equipment?
The reason i ask is because I really want this project to be a journey that I undertake, kind of something to sink my mind into and really take my time on now that the wife and I have split up... it's almost an "improve myself by doing something awesome perfectly" type project if that makes sense.
I am going to be grabbing the hex from storage tonight and grabbing some styrofoam sheets from michaels to start the interior portion of the project.
I plan on refining the stand and canopy over the next month or two before i even buy the wood. I just want to do this thing 'perfectly' and have a real work of art for my desk.
Thanks!
