Thread: Heater inside of Filter

    Default Heater inside of Filter

I have a dual bio wheel hang on filter with room inside to fit a heater up to 14 inches long. Would it be a good idea to do so on a 20 gallon? Has anyone done so already? I read that it helps keep temperature more constatant and gets rid of the ugly heater. Any input appreciated. Thanks- Andrew

If you can get it in there where the heater won't touch the sides of the filter I would think it would be fine.

yeah, especially if that biowheel pumps from the base of the aquarium. "hmm.. smells like burnt plastic and dead fish." you don't want to say that as your door opens!
