Egg crate
I was in the home depot last night and wanted some egg crate well i found some but its wasn't white, it was a silver color, the thing said it was a styrene light cover, or something like that...my question is...is it safe for my tank? i don't think it would make a difference, since it was wasn't painted on but it was just the color of plastic or styrene.

RE: Egg crate
That silver ones I have seen are actually painted/coated on and the material can flake off. With salt water being corrosive as it is, I wouldn't use it. If you can't find the regular white stuff at HD, then go to Lowe's. Sometimes it's hard to find, but they usually have it in the back with the ceiling tile/grid stuff instead of with the lighting.

RE: Egg crate
Agree, buy the white eggcrate, I have some extra in my garage-but that doesnt help you out being in Austin. As Captexas said check lowes.
