    Default Old Rocks

I know I have read about this a lot but I thought I would post anyways. I have 2 huge rocks that were in my 55 about 2 months ago. They have been sitting in the garage, dry since then. I took a hammer to them and now have some smaller chunks for my sump. I threw them in a 5 gallon tub with saltwater, powerhead and heater.

How long until it's ready for the sump do you think?

I agree, in fact, Id cure them longer than normal because most likely whatever detritus in them has solidified rendering them basicly useless as a filtration media. Might wanna Google search "cooking live rock". Just a suggestion.

I think I will cook them a bit. Should be fun.
