Default Dang Rain, looking for suggestions...

I planned a weekend outing about 2 months back at the Guadalupe St. Park this weekend. Should be there right now. The park called and told us we might want to cancel due to the weather. The river is way past my experience level and boat class, so no kayaking for me even if we made it down that way. Rained out.

So we are rained out and sitting in the house. I have until Tues to be at work. What should I do with the time? Any ideas of day runs that won't break the bank? We were thinking of taking off for the Georgia Aquarium but don't want to spend $350 on gas for just 2 of us.

Since you're into kayaking, they are having a "demo day" this Saturday. You can try out all the new yaks.

"If you missed the Austin demo don't miss this one. They will have over 40 kayaks to paddle as well as incredible deals on select kayaks and great deals on all other kayaks and accessories (All Accessories are 15% off for the demo).

For more information as well as a map and directions see there website and click on the demo day link.

This is rain or shine...after all, kayaks are supposed to get wet!

Hope to see you all out there!

Steve you haven't been to a roller girl show yet? They are interesting. Sucks that the weather is so nice now. But I understand the parks concerns were for Thurs night, all day Fri, and most of the day Sat. If the CO is clear I might go paddle this afternoon. I'll probably hit the San Marcos tomorrow for a short trip.

    Mike,

You ever been to the Dallas World Aquarium? It's probably the nicest aquarium in Texas IMHO.
