    Default overflow

    ok so im looking for a new tank and have found several however i really want an over flow and not a box in the back of the tank... i just dont like the way it looks so is there a way to put in a DIY overflow ie reef ready box or other type of overflow?

    You could drill a hole up around 3" from the top of the tank in the back somewhere and build a little Calfo style overflow. You'd still have a box around it to protect the inhabitants and to skim water from the top, but it'd be a lot smaller.

    I think your best bet would be installing a calfo...

    the tanks i have seen w/ calfos i can't even tell they are there until i look for them.
