Thread: Finnex tanks

    Default Finnex tanks

Has anyone looked into the finnex systems, or is anyone running one. It looks like a really nice setup with all of the filtration built in. I really like the fact that you can buy it with a 150 hqi setup already. If not this setup then would would someone else suggest....I'm looking to start up a nano, approximately 20-28 gallons...Could use a little help here.

Yep, I have the 22g glass frameless version with the 150w Sunpod fixture over it.
It is a great little tank, with a better design and quality than some of the other all-in-one tanks.

I thought that I heard somewhere that Finnex would no longer be making glass tanks after they run out of their current supply. Does anyone know if this is true? If so, you better get one why you can.

Cadlights tanks are very similar to the Finnex tanks. They come in glass as well.

They can be found here http://www.cadlights.com/index.php?cPath=2 .

    Good luck !

I have a Finnex M tank (in storage atm). When I had it running I loved it. The design is really nice but I did add another small pump to increase water movement. The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that it is made from acrylic (a positive in some people's book but not in mine). I liked the design so much I bought it despite the fact it is acrylic. There is also a model now with a refugium built in, wish I had that one instead looks sweet (but I don't think that one has a skimmer).

I appreciate the responses, it sure looks like a nice product, and the fact that I don't have to do a ton of mods to it is a plus as well. I wouldn't mind seeing a pic of your tank cpr....if you have some.

Also, Chris is correct, to my knowledge Finnex is no longer making glass tanks.

Nice looking tank there....It's a shame that they are not making the glass tanks anymore....big fan of the glass tank here.
