You can slice it off with scissors. Then scrub off the remaining on the rock.
To re-attach to another rock: Sew it around another rock or wedge between 2 rocks in a low current area.

colt corals are extremely resillient. you really don't have to be very carefull.

I usually just peal them off the base, then superglue them to another base.
