Ok, sir, show me, at $16 dollars per head SALE price, and a $12 per head PURCHASE price, how I am trying to make a profit? Can you? No. As I stated repeatedly in the "Courier" thread, I was willing to do all of this driving, but did not want to get screwed on the gas. My mileage this morning when I put 18.002 gallons of gasoline into my wife's Jeep was 45,865 miles. This evening, when we got back home, I put another 18 gallons in, and the odometer read 46,232 miles. That's 367 miles, and we used 18 gallons of gas. My company is charging probably 2.40/gallon right now?! According to my calculator, that comes out to $43.20.

I was asking $4 for each Frogspawn (that you did not deliver on), and $3 for each hammer for gas. A rough tally of the overage charged to each of the San Antonio guys for their stuff (names and quantity can be found earlier in this thread) leads me to believe that I would have collected, including $10 from my own purchase, a whopping $28. Where is the profit? I asked for ASSISTANCE with the gas bill, not for anyone to finance this expedition.

Oh, by the way, sir, weren't you trying to make a profit off of your Frogspawn? And your point would be?

By the time you had contacted me,Solid had already purchased the three pieces of hammer.Matter of fact you were at this house today were'nt you?And you saw the hammer din't ya?The post above this one kinda looks like you are accusing me of being a liar about what i have in my tank.I know what i got,Solid and Sharkbait know what i got.
Actually, again, you are wrong. What the post above shows is that you had only a vague idea of what you had in your tank. 40+ is not a number. 41, 45, 367 thousand; those are numbers. Nice to see that you finally have a solid number...37. So, 37 heads, plus the 8 that you say SoLiD bought would be...45 heads total to start with? The 12 heads I offered to buy, given this new revlation would be OVER a 1/4 of the whole spawn. That is not a SMALL number.

By the way, I don't have to answer to you before I make travel plans.

Actually, it is impossible for me to "scam" you out of anything. It is YOUR 'spawn, in YOUR tank, behind YOUR locked door. I'm just not good enough to do that from 200 miles away.

Sir, you have no idea what I can and cannot afford. I was actually contemplating purchasing the entire 'spawn from you last night, before you called me to back out (again). The only problem with that plan would be that I felt that I would be stuck with a lot of coral that i could not easily get rid of, kind of like what you are dealing with now.

Had you actually gone through with the deal (any of them), you would have discovered what everyone I have dealt with has discovered...that I am fair, friendly, respectful and deeply appreciative. If there truly is anyone out there who has a problem with me, I wish them well. They have the choice to deal with me or not.

As I have repeated several times, the (final) offer I made was for 12 heads at $12 per. Initially it was ten, you said no. I counteroffered with 12 for $12, you resorted to calling me a cheat, a liar, a scam-artist, a vagabond and childish.

You could have PMed me if you wished to show me this level of disrespect. By doing this on a public forum, it is clear that your intention was to defame me. Sir, I feel that we have nothing else to say to each other.

I'm sorry to put everyone through this back and forth stuff. This was beyond my control. Hopefully this won't negatively affect the reputation I have developed with several of you...I did what I could.

So, please, those who were interested in the hammer, call me later tonight.

This post here is what ticked me off to no end Richard.Especially the first paragraph where you say "I received a call last night from motohead. He is now NOT willing to frag the Frogspawn again".That is,was and will remain to be untrue. You say a 1/4 of the Spawn is alot?Well,we differ on opinion there. Not to me it isn't.
Your next paragraph is none too kind either."I'm sorry to put everyone through this back and forth stuff. This was beyond my control. Hopefully this won't negatively affect the reputation I have developed with several of you...I did what I could."
Let's be honest here.Whether you see it or not, this post sets out to make me look like i backed out.It would have been much simpler and more respectful for you to state that you were unable to come up with a purchase amount that warranted me breaking up the Spawn.Which is the truth.Same thing i told you in pms, same thing i told you on the phone.Instead, you post up what i have quoted there and you must admit,it makes me look like the bad guy.I have no control over what you told those folks up there. You put your eggs into the basket before the chicken was even there.
And further, why do you care how many heads are there? If you are only planning to purchase 12,what does the rest matter to you?
I guess you are going to refuse to admit that from the beginning of this, you knew i wanted to sell more than 12 heads.I also guess that since i did not want to sell that small amount,i become the bad guy for not wanting to break up a perfectly shaped, beautiful showpiece. Why would you want to lock this thread after you post up again? That is hardly fair Richard,You get to state your opinion and then lock it?
My opinion stays the same, you disrespected me first on the board Richard,by your quoted posts above. If you feel you want to contact me through pm's,then feel free to do so.
I would love nothing more than to get this whole deal worked out as now it has affected us both negatively. If you will read through the above quoted post from you,and keep an objective mind, you will see why i got angry. And no,consulting with me before you make travel plans is not required. However,if one is to drive 150 miles to purchase something from someone else, sharing the travel plans is usually considered a pretty good idea.If you did not want to give me a full dollar amount that you would be bringing with you, that is your prerogative. However, that is what i wanted to know, and from the pms i sent you you knew that.Locking this thread would be a bad idea in my eyes.Best to let things work out,as long as they remain civil.
