    Default DNC filter unit

I had a couple of gravel vacuums laying around. So I decided to put together a denitrification and carbon filtration unit. I went to lowes and picked up some unions, reducers, barbed elbows and adapters. I had hose and acrylic pieces laying around. I cut and drilled the frame supports and glued them up. I cut and drilled 4 strainer disks for the 2 tubes. Glued them on the ends of the reducers. Glued on the unions and reducers. Then I added the barbed elbows and adapters. I cut sponge filters for the strainers. Filled one tube with denitrate media and the other with GAC. I hooked up a low GPH pump and there you have it. Another fun project. Now to get back to my 3d back ground .
