Dupont calcium hardness increaser

I went to Lowe's the other day to try to find some dowflake; couldn't find it and instead found this product in the pool care section. The label says 94% calcium chloride, 6% inert ingredients. Think it's reef safe? The 6% could be moisture, or some additive that makes it unacceptable for a reef tank. Anyone have an idea about this, or, where can I get dowflake here in San Antonio?

Id be real careful about what 'they' consider inert to particular applications. Give them a call and see if they even know what the remaining 6% consists of. Personaly, I wouldnt use it until I was positive it was safe. You can order Dow flake from Buckeyefieldsupply if you cant find it localy. Or I can send you a pound or so since I have more than Ill probably ever use.

Matt, you should be able to get a Material Safety Data Sheet at their website. That's what I did with the Dowflake. Its probably the same thing. Sounds similar. The inert is probably moisture content.
