watching to see what works. i have the same trouble with a cinnamon clown. she really isnt hurting anyone but she tries. sheh is so defiant and tricky that she will let me get within an inch of her and then she will stay exactly an inch away no matter where i move nor how fast i go, and she bites me.

Yeah, if you put your finger or face close to the glass the thing rushes over and bites the glass! :wacko

Try using small to medium peices of egg create to box it in on one corner of the tank, then just reach in and grab it.

Try leaving in there for a day to let the clown get sued to it, that what I had to do now he goes in the trap every time I feed.

And lose a finger at the knuckle!!! :o

Just kidding. :P I do think I will put some food in a trap and see what happens. I'll keep you posted.

In the meantime, if you guys have any other suggestions, let me know. I need all the ammo (maybe literally :P ) I can get.

I use Ace's technique. Forget the nets. Just chase the thing around for a bit. Every where it goes, put your hand there. Wear a rubber glove if you need to. After a while, they get tired (so do you!), and won't even move.

Just get a big trashcan or two and pump all the water out, leave all the rock like it is, just pump the water out until theres just a puddle left then grab the fish!

    :lol :lol :lol

Actually, we got her out last night. Apparently, what is needed is a husband. :P With both of us working, we were able to corner her and he hoisted her out! She has now been put in the "time out" tank (10gal) until I set up my 30 gallon that I thought I had no use for. Now I am going to need to buy an "el cheapo" stand and filter for it. Geez! a tank just for 1 fishie. <_< Well, maybe 2. I'll probably put her mate and an anemone or toadstool in there. Maybe this would be a good place for a clam or sps tank later??? :skeezy
