Thread: Chiller temp drop

    Default Chiller temp drop

I was wondering if anyone has measured the temperature drop in their chiller. I am not sure if mine is working as well as it should.

With a fairly high rate of flow, I get a drop of about 3 degrees from input to output. If I restrict the flow a lot, it gets down to about 5 a 5 degree drop.

I have no idea whether these values are good or bad.

If your chiller is outside, it is having a tough time this summer. There should be some charts on Reef Central that will clarify your unit?
