The floor in the new house that I am moving to has rather uneven tile flooring so I was planning on putting some type of foam under the stand to even it out. I was wondering what everyone used for this.

I set my tank on tile floor as well and was able to get it to line up on the grout lines (which were pretty level.) The tank is really just supported around the edges. If it needs some adjustment I would consider using wood shims on the edges that need support. Wood is the best choise IMHO because you can easily sand it down in the places where it is too high. Just be careful to support the entire frame as much as possible and not just prop up the corners.

Alternatively, if there's just a high spot or two created by a tile edge then you may just be able to use a file to take a little chunk out of the frame so that it sits level.

    Good luck!

my problem is the tile itself is not flat. Its some type of handmade tile so each piece of tile in itself is already all ready different heights.

you probably should put some of that plaster stuff to and place it evenly on the old tile and buy new even tile and stick it on the plaster stuff. maybe? :mellow

I have a 1/2 " layer of styrofoam under my tank, it came with the tank and was recommended by the builder.

You can buy foam insulation in 4x8 sheets at HD or Lowe's. Probably won't be white styrofoam, but it should work. Try calling a corrugated box company for the white stuff. If they don't have it, they should be able to point you in the right direction. HTH.
