I just wanted to let everyone know how good Frederick's (Polkster13/Coralreef Bazaar) customer service is for Coralvue products. I bought 2 coralvue 400W electronic MH ballasts 2 years ago when Greg (fuzz/360reef) was the distributor. On Tuesday I noticed 1 of my lights was flickering and when I checked, that ballast was toast! I PM'ed Polkster and within 3 minutes he called me offering up a loaner ballast until he could get mine repaired and returned. He even offered to send his wife to drop it off yesterday but called back saying she was not going to be able to do it. He called me today (when he said he would) and brought 2 ballasts (short cords vs long cords) since he remembered that I may need a long cord after I told him I run my ballasts in a separate room.
The bottom line is that I was not a previous customer of Frederick's, yet I feel like I was treated better than most vendors would treat a big spending regular customer. I think this also shows that Coralvue puts out a good product and stands behind it when things fail (none of these companies make the parts in a ballast, they just assemble them). Our local Austin Coralvue service and support combined with an quality, economical ballast with a 5 year warranty makes these ballasts a great deal in my book.
