    Default Tank Temp

I currently have a 58 gallon RR. I just purchased a 1/10 hp chiller and would like to know how to set it up so that both the chiller and heater don't compete against each other. The chiller comes with a 77 degree factory default setting. If I want to keep the temp at 77 degrees, should I set my heater to 75 degrees??

How cool do you keep your house? Do you really need a heater? If so, then yes set it a few degrees below te chiller and then watch it for accuracy.

Well we have our thermostat is set to 74 between 3pm and 6am and then 78 while we are at work. My halides kick in around 1pm and go off around 9pm.

NACIH20's way is cheap and effective. the other way is to buy a controller than runs both units. I like the cheap and effective way better.
