Default Silicone sealant: put in tank uncured?

Hey, I might have made an error in judgement. I needed to silicone a joint of some inlet tubing which is actually in my tank. Now, the silicone is wet, and I need to put my filter's powerhead back online. (This silicone is on the intake side of the filter's powerhead.)

Can I put it in the tank uncured? Or is that bad ju-ju for the corals? I need to either put it in, or do some real quick backtracking of some modifications I just completed. And I need to do one or the other asap.

    Thanks in advance....

Do not put it back in the tank. It has to cure for at least 24hrs. I always let it cure longer.

If you want to read up on it go to www.wetwebmedia.com or RC and do a search.
It may also depend on the type of silicone.

Shucks! So, I need to "undo" everything for 24+ hrs. Or, depend on two other powerheads to provide circulation while somehow keeping the powerfilter media wet. At least, those are the only two options I see for myself. Bad planning....Grhh. Thanks for the 'word' on curing.

OK, I have "undone" my modifications. I will re-do them after 24-48 hrs of curing time. Thanks.
