    Default Clownfish feeding

Friday night I bought a pair of true percula clowns. I have a 12 gallon aquarium with no other fish. Just a skunk cleaner shrimp, some snails, and some hermits. I have been feeding them frozen cubes. I give them about a quarter of a cube at a time. Once in the morning and once at night. They seem pretty happy, but I was wondering what you all would suggest to be the best feeding habits for my new fish since I really have no clue what I'm doing.

I use to have the EXACT same setup that you have, until my clowns got sucked down the overflow. but anyways, you are feeding too much. I fed them a little bit of flake once a day, but soon realized that was too much waste so i cut down to every other day. I would feed like a quarter cube every other day or so, maybe 2 days in a row one time a week...12g is really small, and if its a nanocube its actually more like 8 gallons minus rock which doesnt leave much water at all.

i have the exact same setup but with one ocellaris and agree, that is too much

i feed mine about 1/8th of a cube every other day which might be still too much

Wow, that pack of food is going to last me a really long time! So since I have 2 fish (the female is about twice the size of the male), I guess I should feed a quarter of a cube every other day? Do you all feed in the morning or night? Does the time even matter at all?

i try to keep mine in a semi-routine and feed in the afternoon

when you feed a quarter cube watch and see how much they eat and how much hits the bottom. you want to just feed them as much as they can eat before it does go to waste.

i think you might find that a quarter might be too much, but then again if your clown eats like mine it might not be enough haha i swear mine does backflips for his food haha
