I look at the heat build up from the pump and wattage. Tunze seems like it will be cheaper in the long run. Hard to beat the wave box IMO.

With an added eductor or penductor ... yes.
I have 3 pumps on my system and it stays at 80 most of the time and the tank is in the garage.

no the maxijet 9 would put him way over the top need to find a submersible hammerhead to turn into a powerhead or add a couple 6200 tunzes then i think he would be alright![]()

Well I have a Tunze 6000 in a 55 gallon tank and a mag 7 for a return pump (with the head height it isn't much) but I want another 6000 for the other side!!! Depending on how you do your rock work Carl, the Tunze could work well shooting low behind the rocks to give flow back there and prevent detritus settling in rear....
