115 Gallon Cube - Follow Along Pics

Ok, there are not many pics here yet, and I will be linking to them for now, and correcting them for size later. By Clicking on a link you agree to the following:

A) You will not make fun of my messy garage
B) You won't laugh that my stand could hold a tank 10 times as heavy. (can you say over constructed?)

(Oh, and the door to the stand has not been stained yet. I am still working on it.)

This is the stand from the front. The side is left open so it can interface with the entertainment center I am building. The sump will go in the stand, the pumps in the entertainment center, and the refugium will be in the entertainment center as well.

The tank is made with 1/4 oak plywood and poplar trim, stained on the outside with a 1st layer of red oak, second layer dark walnut, it will be stained and sanded 3 more times before it gets sealed.

What are the dimensions on that cube. It looks massive! Maybe its time to upgrade my 24 gallon cube! :lol

man, I just spent 120$ on plumbing parts (and a web clamp to be fair) I hate spending money on the stuff I don't get to see...

anyhow, I was dissatisfied with the door so I pulled it apart, re-glued it, and use a butt load of clamps to get everything right this time.

I decided to forgoe hinges on the door and make it a removable panel, so I bought magnetic plates and clasps to hold it in place.

well, this weekend I didn't accomplish as much as I wanted, I finished staining the stand, so I will be sealing it on wednesday (i put in almost 30 hours on monday and tuesday so nothing happens these days). I forgot my new saw blade at home and I am actually doing all my wood cutting and assembly at my dads (better tools and equipment except for my saw) and I wore out the 19.2 volt battery making my first 16 inch cut on the plywood.
