I learned that if you shoot an arrow as straight up as you can, It usually comes down in the worse place it can....in my case was the shed in the back and stuck a hole through the roof. my dad blistered my butt.

then I learned that if you take the tips off the arrows and hunt with an open shaft, when you hit something it almost explodes. We used to do that to rats in the barn! LOL

    OH...to be a kid again!

What kind of bow do you shoot? Do you hunt or shoot 3-d or what?

That sounds fun! I want to shoot at porta potties!

I use to be big into the 3-D shooting. I was pretty good too, qualified for nationals 1 year. I dunno if your familiar with 3-d but you go through the woods and there are like 30 stations with a foam animal, with everything from elk to turkeys to deer to bobcats, etc. You have to judge the yardage just by eye, no rangefinders allowed and make your best shot, needless to say you do lose arrows sometimes by misjudging the yardage adn shooting over the top or under. Sometims they will be up hills or down hills and those can be tricky if the angle is steep enough. Its pretty fun stuff, definetly something to check out if you have never tried.

That does sound fun.....we have been putting a foam block in the this rain ditch and shooting down on it so we don't loose arrows if we miss.

ya...the cams will kill ya......last time I priced them they were around $250 for just the cams.

For Port a pottie shooting we use the cheapest aluminum arrows from walmart! LOL

I love bows about as much as I love reefs/flying! LOL Its a fun sport!

150 yards with a bow is really good shooting. I am impressed!

    Yeah, 150 is really far!

I went to a shoot a while back where there was a post in the ground about 150-200 yards with rings around it 5 ring, 10 ring, etc. The closer to the pole the more points...it was really fun!

Ya...but look how big my target was......150 yards is a very long shot for a bow, but the target was a full size port a pottie! LOL....of course i didnt' say that i hit it three times and then missed it the next three loosing all my arrows! LOL

I wasn't expecting to hit it the first time, but we did.......it was funny.
