Thread: Thanks MAAST BOD!

  1. #1

    Default Thanks MAAST BOD!

Some of you may notice, most of you probably won't ... the "Board of Director" is now missing next to my avatar :cry

I had a recent change in my job and my spare time has become non-existent :( So, I resigned my BOD position so that the BOD could use this slot for someone that had the time available to help the club.

I wanted to thank the BOD for allowing me to participate and contribute to this great organization. My time on the BOD was brief, but very rewarding. The BOD has struggled with a period of extreme growth, and the growing pains that come with that. Many decisions have been questioned by members, but I was privy to all the "behind the scenes" discussion, and I can say that this BOD is always looking after the welfare of the club and its members.

Now the real point of my post! BOD elections are coming up soon and the club needs active and enthusiastic BOD members to accomplish the very challenging goals of a club that has exploded in popularity in tha past year. Many of you are active and vocal on the boards - now it is time to become active and vocal on the BOD! If not the BOD, then help out on a committee. But ... don't run for a BOD position or join a committee unless you can dedicate the time needed.

That's it, thank you all for allowing me to contribute. I will ALWAYS be a Charter Memeber of MAAST, and will attend meetings as time allows.

Continue to support your BODs and walk up and say "Thanks" next time you see them

I would jump on it in a second, but I live too far away. Maybe I can participate in the BOD at our subchapter, this fellaz over here need a lot of cheerleading to get things going. OUt of fifteen or so members, I think I am the only who remains active on Maast.

Steve...it has been a pleasure working with you on the BOD's. You may not realize just how much of a difference you have made. As you stated, MAAST experienced some heavy growing "pains" in the last 4 or so months and I feel you made a major contribution along with the others on the current BOD to remain level headed and choose the best routes of action in the best interest of MAAST.

And I agree, deciding to run for BOD is a committment. Involvement is important and necessary.

Thanks Sherri, but take that other hand and pat yourself on the back a few times From what I have seen there are a few "Pillars" on the MAAST BOD, and you stand prettty darn tall in that sparsley populated forest ;)
