Its going to be tmporary..not forever..

ich is always present in the marine environment....nothing is forever, including copper. But as long as the fish are healthy, they will be (more) resistant

Actually copper will stay in a tank once dosed...probably the only way to remove it is by using a poly filter or CupriSorb by Sea Chem. I believe it changes color so you can see all the copper being removed.
