75 gal. RR, 20 gal. sump, euroreef cs 1-5, 125 lbs. liverock, 4 inch sand bed.
Yes the last one would probably be best...have your drain/drains pour in to the same chamber as the skimmer...and put your return pump on the opposite side....this will cut down on bubbles returning into your display.
You will be better off with it in a chamber that always has a constant level. Otherwise its going to be a tuning nightmare IMO
good luck
It is said that a skimmer will work best if skimming the water as it leaves your tank and as Jade said with a constant level for back pressure.

Another question then. I bought the Coralife super skimmer 125. It sit a little tall for the sump i think. Can i and a hose to drop the pump lower in the sump without hurting the effectiveness of the skimmer. Right now the pump sits at water level opr a little below. I have not put water in the sump so i dont know for sure yet. Trying to figure all this out before i start assembly on the tank.

The skimmer is too tall?

It will fit under the satnd?

yes it will. I just put it in the first chamber and the pump sits 1 inch below water line it looks like.
