    I'm sorry, I just realized that I have Brinks, not ADT. :wacko I don't see why ADT wouldn't have some sort of interface for digital phones though, who uses analog electronics anyway? That's obsolete.

    the phone and the line the data travels on are two majorly seperate things. twc calls theirs "digital phone" but the phone on the end of the line isnt digital

    Actually they were talking about the line. I just used the word phone in general, still probably was some way to work around, it's too easy to change a digital signal to analog for them not to have been able to do it. Possibly too much money involved in the equipment under the plan I got from them.

    For Time Warner and all of thr other "Digital" phone companys, they are using the internet to be the interface into their cable line, for your phone service. Your Broadband converter is how they hook up your phone. ADT could tap into the phone at the broadband unit. But I think that why they want an analog phone line is, regular phone service rarely goes down, and how often now a days, do you lose your cable signal. ADT wants a "sure" connection, so that they can monitor your house, should the alarm trips. At least that is what I an thinking.
