    Default pond heater

    anyone know of pond heater for about 1000 gallons? i only found the floating one to make a hole in the ice. thanks

    Ice??? Dadgum...this is Texas....what do ya need a ice meltin thing fer???

    LOL...sorry, dont know much about ponds. Tim Marvin has some beautiful coy ponds, so you might as him.

    ?????? What are you keeping in there? I don't forsee ice this month..LOL.. If you just have Koi, no need to heat, they will be fine even if the pond freezes on the top. keep your pumps running and you won't have any problems.

    swords, mollies, platies, and koi. im not worried about the koi, the others will die when it does get cold.

    If your looking for a permanent thing, natural gas would be much cheaper than electricity. You can use a small jacuzzi heater.

    my mother had fish in her pond and never could find anything big enough to heat it. so she just ended up with koi and gold fish. we searched everywhere. i think your going to have to use your noggin and come up with something clever yourself.
