Default Mac OS X to be run on Intel x86 processors

Well it is official as of today. Steve Jobs announced at the WWDC today that the Mac OS will be ported to a computer system using the Intel x86 processor chips. Check out this link for the full details. I guess an era is coming to a close. It will be very interesting to see what Apple's stock does over the next 12 to 16 months.

Also announced was the next generation operating system name: Leopard. It is to come out around the time MS says they will have Longhorn out. The next year will bring some very interesting developments.

    Too little, too late.

They have a lot to learn about networking and corp security. The Redhat guys tried to take over desktops and failed.

They should stick with eMacs and iPods.
