    Default Carpet-surfing sixline

Earlier this evening I found my sixline lying totally dried-up next to the tank. I don't know how long he'd been there, but he was totally beyond any hope of still being alive.

So...I've never really heard of sixlines being jumpers, but I guess anything's possible. I think the maroon clown *could* have chased him out, but I've never seen her show much aggression and there are all kinds of places the sixline could have gone without her being able to follow.

I'm a little hesitant to get another if this is something I should have expected. Don't want to cover the tank and lose evaporation, and eggcrate reflects the halides like crazy. Are these fish jumpers, or was this probably just an unfortunate event?

I can't speak for the wrasse in question.
We had a Regal Tang that jumped out of the tank once.
Regals are not suppossed to be jumpers.
Yours might be an isolated incident.

Oops, I stand corrected on the wrasses.

Unfortunately we had the same exact thing happen a few weeks ago :( . I want to get another one because it was a great fish for a long time for us, so I was hoping it was a fluke. Seems like it might be an issue with them though...

sixlines, as with most wrasses, are notorious for jumping out of tanks. I've known several people to have had their tanks almost completely covered, and their six lines would jump out of a hole not much larger than themselves.
