Man Don, you always find the coolest stuff! I can't imagine what kind of structural engineering that took! 4 floors of huge sea-life displays...I would love to sea that too!!!!!! I would need 3-day pas!

Don,
If you are a scuba diver you can check out Mantas and Whale Sharks right in your own backyard, they can typically be found at the flower gardens. The flower gardens are a coral reef system located 120 miles from Rockport in the middle of the gulf. It is the best diving in Texas and I highly reccomend it.

Greg,
I am a PADI member...I have snorkeled with Mantas before but never with Whale Sharks, It is on my Life to do list for sure. As for the flower gardens...120 miles at 10 knots or so...8 hour boat ride...they should start a Helo diving tour! lol
I just could not believe my eyes when I saw the whale sharks in a aquarium...How would you keep those guys fed? I mean there are multiple whale sharks and several mantas which are plankton/krill eaters, in that tank or should I say CHUNK of the ocean. Being that Okinawa is an Island, I bet they bring in freash filtered ocean water that has plankton in it.
Yeah, thats pretty crazy that they can succesfully keep these animals. Whale sharks are my favorite fish, I actually adopted one, and god willing when I win the lottery, I will have my very own whale shark in my aquarium!
